When Nancy discovered this practice, it was like coming home. It provided a welcome respite from an all too busy life working on the Hill, and tending to the needs of family. Nancy earned her E-RYT 200, and is certified as a teacher of Yoga for Healthy Aging, all from Baxter Bell, MD. She received her 300-hour advanced teacher training from Sun and Moon Yoga and is certified as a Dynamic Gentle Yoga Teacher by Rudy Peirce of Kripalu She emphasizes the importance of strength, balance, flexibility, alignment, breath, and, most importantly, listening to one’s body, accepting it, and being grateful for all it can do. Yoga, the union of body, mind and spirit, with no judgment, no competition, just an exploration of what it means to be alive.
